Bill: Tax ammendment

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party of Telamon

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2046

Description[?]:

Currently anyone can not pay their taxes and their will be no punnishment. The PNP described this as "Voluntary Taxes" i think thats just plain stupid (that is not a personal attack SDC) as no one would pay them, thus getting rid of the purposes of taxes. I would like too see pnnishments for taxes reintroduced as the PNP no long has the power of having 95% of the seats

MessageWe were against the original Voluntary Tax plan put forward by the Libertarian Party and supported by the PNP with their huge majority. To us it seems an impossible idea that you can have 'voluntary' taxes and we whole heartedly agree with the Communists that very few people would pay them. We therefore support this resolution to call for a proper taxation system (with penalites applied to those who don't pay - as is usual) to be reintroduced. We will of course state for the record that we are a low tax party and do support taxes being as low as is feasably possible, but taxes cannot be voluntary.

MessageWe can trust our people while still recognizing human weakness and selfishness as innate. A functioning government cannot operate on voluntary taxation. The SDC firmly supports this proposal by the Communists.

MessageYou have got to stop thinking people are infallible, all people are capable of Greed, Corruption and Violence against fellow man.

We endorse this proposal.

MessageThis proposal is necessary for the bills about increased governmental power that has gone around lately to be enforceable. Despite that the Libertarian party will stick to the line that the government does not have more of a "right" to robbery than anyone else.
