The New Aldurian Conservative Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Aldurian Republic. Message | If we are in surplus, let us spend more, or save money. Not cut taxes. |

Message | Tax cuts stimulate the economy. Of course, we are sure that voters love hearing that politicians have invented new ways to spend their money. |

Message | I think our surplus are not important enough yet to cut taxes. It is better to save now for the future, than lower taxes and raise them again latter. OOC: In Canada, social groups actually fight tax cuts... |

Message | We feel that trimming the tax burden, especially on the middle and lower classes, is a good way to stimulate the economy, as it will permit those people to buy more goods, thus stimulating economic growth and fuller employment. |

Message | We were never ones for "Trickle-down" conomics. All economic phenomena that happen a priori in the private sector can be created artificially. So, they both can work, either a slightly organised jungle, or an efficient civilisation of an economy. We prefer the latter. |

Message | We fully support this bill. First, it attempts an equal cut accross the board. (5% except between 3,707 ALD and 7,415 ALD). Therefore, the poor receive the same benefits as the rich. Second it allows the poor to safe and increase their lot in life. Often they lack proper access the money they lose in taxes. This will ensure that they keep it. |

Message | Either way things go back to the people. However, in one case, the returns are equal, efficient and organised. In the other, it is proportional only to their current condition. |

Message | We would like to note that our largest tax cuts were on the rates of the poor. Below 7415 ALD, we cut taxes by 2% for every bracket (which, we would add, is a 40% marginal cut for the lowest tax bracket). From that point up, the cut was 1% for each bracket. The poor and lower-middle classes do benefit from this act more than the rich do insofar as the portion of their tax burden that is reduced. The highest bracket only recieves a cut of 3.3% of their tax burden after all, compared to that 40% for the lowest bracket and 20% for the next-lowest bracket. |

Message | We agree with the NACP that their taxcuts are fair. However, we don't have enough surplus to justify a taxcut. |

Message | It is a rather illogical idea to tax people just to save money. If there is a surplus it means two things... 1. The government should spend more in order to boost the economy 2. The government should cut taxes to stimulate consumer spending and investment but in no case should the government just store up money. I will vote for this bill |

Message | It is not a question of 'storing up'. It is a question of having small reserves in order to be able to maneuver around the up and down of the economy. |
