Message | The majority of the population does not need to be educated until the age of twenty. Though we of course recognise the need for education to the age of sixteen, there are many working class people who simply have no need or wish to be educated until the age of twenty. The adulthood reduction meanwhile is to ensure that a group of second class citizens doesn't arise: people who are good enough to work full time and pay tax, but not to have full rights as citizens. |

Message | So ... why not make the compulsory school age simply 18 and leave the currentl adult age as it is? We adamently must disagree. Psychologists, who have studied the mind have concluded that the brain does not reach full maturity until the age of 21. While we feel, although they are not fully mature yet, that it is acceptable to allow 18 year olds as adults but we cannot agree to 16 year olds. |
