| In accordance with the Government Reform and Reorganization Act, parties here shall nominate their candidates for Governor-General and then they shall be put to a vote. A single candidate, Hieronymus von Büren, was nominate. Therefore the Diet shall vote on that candidate alone. If the nominee gains the votes of 2/3rds of the full membership of the Diet (the threshold needed to pass the constitutional amendment), he shall become Governor-General for a twelve-year term beginning at the conclusion of this vote. |
