Bill: Defense Reform Act pf 2919, Part 1

Details

Submitted by[?]: Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2920

Description[?]:

We believe it crucial to reinstaure officially the use of chemical and biological weapons for any reason in warfare. Special care will be taken to make sure they are not used when they could cause harm to Luthorians. However, in certain circumstances, they are a key tool in our arsenal. Indeed, during the Beiteynese rebellion, one of our major victories was achieved using chemical weapons and thus this saved the lives of many Luthorian soldiers.

We also believe it to be completely unnecessary for the government to subsidize the weapons industry. It is one of the largest sectors in our economy and one of the most profitable industries in the world, it does not need government subsidies.

MessageMr. Speaker,

You have the full support of IMP. It is high time the military make its own decisions regarding what weapons it uses. It is also about time that we rid the arms manufacturing industries from the government teat and allow it to run freely in the laissez-faire system.

We yield.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
