Bill: Healthcare & Well-Being Act of 2921
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alliance for a New Rutania
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2922
Description[?]:
The Alliance feels that the Commonwealth of Rutania possesses an out-dated system of healthcare that only harms the people than help them. We must abandon the current system in which those who are wealthy can freely receive healthcare without hassle, while those who are poor, or even middle class, must pull together a large portion of their income to receive care, or just not get care at all. The Rutanian Government has the responsibility to ensure the well-being of its people and must reestablish a national healthcare system that will insure all those who cannot afford care and will assist those who have trouble financing care. The system will also allow the government to greater regulate the prices set by the companies to ensure that pharmaceuticals and doctors visits are not expensive. |

Message | If 1 article would be changed into "subsidizing for lower incomes", we could support this bill. Now we feel that it's too costly to be introduced The PUUO would also like to point out to the ANR that this "out-dated system of healthcare that only harms the people than help them" was introduced by the undemocratic REP dictatorship only a couple of years ago. |
Date | 19:18:00, April 12, 2010 CET | From | Freedom Party | To | Debating the Healthcare & Well-Being Act of 2921 |
Message | Frankly speaking Freedom believe that both options, total government or total private and unregulated, are wrong and there needs to be more options available, such as independent watchdog councils to set food standards, before this Party can support this change. We do err on the side of government control as we believe Health is a core issue of governance, but just in a more measured way in keeping with our idea of small unobtrusive government.
