Details

Submitted by[?]: Action Française

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2137

Description[?]:

The National Alliance propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Kanjoran Empire.

These are our proposed changes.

Head of Government - 500million
Foreign Affairs -4billion, some departments moved to defence
Internal Affairs -3billion, departemts amalgamated with justice department
Finance -5billion, the Finance ministry has been simplified, removing much wasteful spending and amalgamating departments with other ministries.
Defence +16billion
Justice -1billion, amalgamations with Internal affairs
Infrastructure and Transport +0
Health and Social Services +2.5billion
Education and Culture +5billion, funding shifted from Science to Education
Science and Technology -5.5billion, funding shifted to education and defence
Food and Agriculture +0
Environment and Tourism -14billion, it did not need 18billion for the environment, public parks run themselves, plus tourism is a private industry
Trade and Industry +0

These are our proposed changes reducing government expenditure from 231.5billion to 222billion, a reduction of 9.5billion

We feel that this is a very good proposal. We have done away with much unnecessary expenditure on matters that are left to local government, such as the environment, whilst we have successfully amalgamated departments that oevrlap, thus allowing us to reduce expenditure further.

To the centirst and leftist parties, the massive increase in the defence budget is due to departments in the foreign office being closed down and moved to the Ministry of Defence, and through the chaneling of funds for research from the science department into the defnce budget as well.

Furthermore we have also increased funding into Education and Health and have sucessfully found ways of reducing the taxpayers contribution to the HoS.

MessageChanneling money from Science and Technology to defence is a bad thing. Science and Technology still develops the technology to give us better defence, but with less fund this time around. Give Science and Technology, and Infrastructure and Transport bigger boosts please, to help modernise our country.

MessageMilitary research has been moved to the defence budget, that makes sense. Infrastructure and Transport are already well funded.
