Message | OOC: haha IC: Mr. Speaker, This is a comprehensive plan that really focuses on quality in education. We all want our kids to succeed in their dreams and ideals. In this process, we're helping the economy, creating jobs and bringing our economy into a high technological wonder-economy, where we finally can triumph the expertise throughout Terra. The Contract with Jakania Coalition has worked on this compromise with the Hawk Insitute in researching how local governments, and federalist approach to education can actually bring higher quality and lower costs. We've already dramatically reduced the federal government in Jakania, but by no means are we restricting the local governments from doing whatever they see necessary for their citizens, our citizens. This is an important time in our lives, and we're finally able to bring common sense principles of government into education, and let's grab this chance; let's fight together for the future of our children and for our hard working youth who each day just strive to live even better than what their parents did. Let's help them and stand by them. Regina Baker, Minister of Education and Culture. |

Message | Mr Speaker, This Bill puts unnecessary strain on local governments throughout the country. Through previous JLP budgets the national education system could cope with the demands - educating our students to the best possible standards. If this Bill passes it would be disastrous for our students and the nation. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I would like to make this chamber aware that the investments in education under the Labour government, as confirmed by the now Education department and Hawk Institute, clearly suggests that this was underfunded substantially. The total federal budget was way below what it is now, and hadn't been adjusted for the enormous pressure on the national education system. We firmly believe that local governments, not federal bureaucrats knows best. That teachers, along with the pupils can devise the best plans to achieve academic success. By having federal control that don't fit everywhere in the country, the Labour party is essentially standing in the way of education, not promoting it. This education reform was needed, and we intend to keep funding education properly; and will look into more reforms. But as long as the Labour party believes in strong central government that controls every inch of the classroom from thousands of miles away; we're not willing to compromise or look into their elitist ways.
