Bill: Liberal Democrat Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Constitutional Monarchy Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2933

Description[?]:

The Whig Party has officially dissolved, with most of its members joining the Liberal Democrats.

"Clearly the reform of our party has confused voters. Never before in our history have we had such a sustained period of governance in this nation. I think it's pretty safe to say that equally, there has never been such a shift in votes in our history. I think that voters have been left feeling unsure about what the former adminstration was doing. I don't think anyone can recall a time when so few bills were put to the vote in our Federal Assembly. I can reassure our supporters that we were still working to deliver what we promised. We were so effective in our earlier legislative terms that actually we managed to deliver all the pledges we outlined in our manifesto. I fear that this work will now be completely reversed if the PPP is allowed to govern. I urge the Tory Party to join me in opposition to the PPP.
I want to explain to Beluzians that we still hold dear the same principles that the Whig Party stood for. What we would like to do is take the country forward to provide a much more supportive safety net for our people. We need to provide a much more comprehensive welfare system which has been neglected in the past.
Today I put forward our new manifesto, which will guide our policy through the next term in this Federal Assembly."
Arthur Goddard, Leader of the Liberal Democrats
