Bill: Religious Schools Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Reform Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2935

Description[?]:

The Reform Party believes that it is an outrage that religious schools of all descriptions are currently outlawed by the State, despite the enormous influence and importance religion holds in Rutania's civil society. As families are ultimately responsible for the upbringing of their children, they should be able to send their children to schools that conform with their religious views and teach in ways that they deem appropriate - for the State to deprive them of this is tantamount to usurping the natural, fundamental role of parents in raising their children as they see fit.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
