Message | Why 179? Anyway, 250 has been the traditional number of Parliamentarians - and if [and it's a big if] we supported anything it would be an increase. |

Message | 250 seems about fair, 179 seems too few, we need enough parliamentarians to ensure that Jakania can function as a democracy, to ensure that people, all people, are proparly represented and that legalstation can be properly secruntised. Simon Hughes, SPP spokesperson on Interior Affairs. |

Message | What do you think about 251? In theory one could have a situation where two blocks would have 125 seats each |

Message | Odd numbers are preferable, I'm not sure what exact number, but I don't think i'll support a reduction. 251 would be decent. |

Message | Depends if the Labour Party will accept it. |

Message | Why, labour party? WHY!? There's no argument at all for having 250 over 251. With 250, we can end up with 125 vs 125, and go nowhere.. |
Date | 16:57:03, May 05, 2010 CET | From | Socialist Peoples Party of Jakania | To | Debating the Size of the council |
Message | PPJ, your the one talking about "bi-partisanship" an 125/125 split would facilitate thate. |
Date | 17:31:07, May 05, 2010 CET | From | Republican Party of Jakania | To | Debating the Size of the council |
Message | Don't need to create an enormous small chance of getting 125/125 for the purposes of bi-partisanship. If that's the only way to achieve bi-partisanship, then we're screwed. |
Date | 19:04:32, May 06, 2010 CET | From | Birleşik Demokrat Parti | To | Debating the Size of the council |
Message | Sorry for opposing, but as I said 250 is traditional. If we supported an increase it would be in the region of 400+ seats - compared to nations of similar size, we have relatively few Parliamentarians. |

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law. |
