Message | >>> Correction <<< Both the FORMER minister of Education & Culture and current commissar on Education & Culture have mixed feelings on this bill. They, as well as most NA members of USA disagree on Article 4, 5, 6, 7 & 9, while we could support article 1, 2, 3, 8 & 10 Union Socialism Alliance will hold a party meeting and decide whether to support or oppose this bill. Date | 05:36:37, May 14, 2010 CET | From | Union Socialism Alliance | To | Debating the Socialist Freedom Act |
Message | In a heated debate, Union Socialism Alliance voted against supporting the Socialist Freedom Act. Commissar of Justice Ashley Peternella started out the meeting, and stated that "this was just another step further from real socialism", and received support from both the Commissar of Education & Culture Glendelyn Kelly, who said that "this bill in all isn't that bad [...] but I do think that the good proposals in this bill does not compensate for the bad ones", and General Council Comrade, Minister Muller stating that "there can be no repeal fast enough to justify supporting this bill." Secretary of Justice Thalia Malmberg argued that this act "can be a test-run of sorts for these proposal, [...], and we must not forget our loss in the last elections." and Commissar of Foreign Affairs & External Relations stating "We should atleast try to get the good ones passed, for the sake of progress, and the bad ones should, can and will most certainly be repealed later." The General Commanding Comrade, Minister Nava, closed the discussion round with these words: "It comes down to what we could support, and what we know we disagree with. I, as most of you, disagree on half of the bill, that alone is reason enough for me not to support it. The good proposals does not outweigh the not-so-good ones., and all the positive proposals can and will most definitely be proposed sooner or later." Union Socialism Alliance voted 41-18 to not support this bill. Ashley Peternella Commissar on Justice, Vice-Spokesperson, Union Socialism Alliance |
