Message | What there hasn't been is a discussion about why this change to a monarchy, which isn't a small change to Rutanian structure, is necessary at all before this half-baked proposal was put forward. (ooc: Very concerned that this game has devolved into a "because-I-can" fest and no attempt is made to go through even some of the motions that real life proposals have to go through. If you think about it, it actually makes the game pretty lifeless and dul really) |
Date | 14:07:30, May 21, 2010 CET | From | Rutanian Elitist Party | To | Debating the Head of State Act |
Message | We believe that this change is beneficial for the Commonwealth. First of all we shall have a monarch that symbolizes our might and prestige. Secondly by this act we order the situation regarding the executive power. We would have a more clear and restricted executive than in the present. And I think this is what the Freedom Party wants as well. (OOC: No, it is not the "because-I-can" attitude. It is a very good opportunity of RP and plus it is a needed change for our game...I think, Ben, this time is really not about bugging each other.) |

Message | (ooc: Yep...black is white and white is black. Quite frankly, the REP themselves are part of the reason this game has been so boring for so long) |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
