MessageDuke Peter McCullum, HNP Leader,

Mr Speaker, may i say to the Labour Party how undervalued they appear to be in this CLP dominated Cabinet. The CLP would occupy the three positions where genuine influence can be exerted ; Head of Government, Finance and Foreign Affairs. This Cabinet is most definatley weighted in the CLP's favour and we hope the Labour Party realise this because they should not go into coalition with the CLP simply to prop up their Prime Minister.

Mr Speaker, We do realise that the Labour Party would probably accept this Cabinet how it stands and if they did it would prove HNP/FFF theories correct about how the Labour Party are simply a small, unambitous party.

MessageMr Speaker, it is interesting, given previous statements, that the HNP do not believe that the Defence Ministry, the Home Ministry and the Justice Ministry are important government departments. Mr Speaker, that says it all about how the HNP's rhetoric is just simple opportunism.

MessageMr Speaker, currently what can those positions do as regards domestic policy or anything else for that matter? The position of PM obviously goes to the largest party in the coalition. Finance Ministry can propose budgets, taxes etc. Foreign Affairs can draft and propose treaties. Defence, Internal Affairs and Justice cannot do anything along these lines so yes Mr Speaker, they are a distant second place to the 'big three' Cabinet posts.

MessageMr Speaker, we in the Conservative-Libertarian Party happen to believe that defence of the realm should be the number one priority for any government. Governments were initially formed for that very reason - to ensure that the people are immune from outside invasion. We believe that the second most important job of the government is to provide and ensure law and order. Given that defence, law and order, are provided for by the Home, Defence and Justice ministries, we have arguably given the Labour Party the three most important jobs in the government after the Prime Minister. We consider there to be six great departments, and we have split these down the middle accordingly. Given that we are the bigger party, by over 50 seats, we are being extremely generous by also giving the Labour Party half of the seats in Cabinet, as well as 3 of the 6 great departments. Mr Speaker, the HNP need to end this childish politicking and become a serious political party, earning the respect of the people of Hutori.

MessageMr Speaker, we shall just see what the Labour Party make of this quite obvious power grab by the CLP. All the influential positions will be occupied by the CLP and its the Labour Party who will have to live with their decision. They are only offering them half the Cabinet positions because they are desperate for another party to support them and their power-grabbing ways.

As for the HNP being childish, this is offering serious advice to the Labour Party. Hopefully this will earn respect between parties.

MessageMr Speaker, if the gentleman stopped before he spoke and checked his facts he would discover that this Cabinet proposal does not change what is already there. There are no departmental changes. It only needed to be proposed again because of the resignation of Duke Carter and the retirement of Marquess Kesrouani. Mr Speaker, the sage advice being offered by the HNP is about a year too late!!

Mr Speaker, we doubt that the Labour Party would ever respect a party that proposes the oppression of the working man, ethnic minorities and homosexuals.

MessageMr Speaker, i also note how the Labour Party dont bother to defend themselves, i suppose they leave this up to their CLP colleagues. Shows they have given up their right to speak in Parliament to the CLP.
