MessageWe support this bill as well. We would like to see religions remain entirely tax-exempt, however.

We would also like to express our surprise that we agree with the ALSP on the principles of a bill.

MessageWhy? As long as their charitable arms are protected, religious organizations should adhere to the same laws and any other corperation. They should not receive tax exempt status as that promotes religion entitiies over others.

We are suprised too.

As the AM says, this law doesn't penalise the religions that do not aim to make profits. Also, it do not prohibit religions that aim to make profits. In conclusion, this gives exemptions to religions on the same basis as to non-profit organisations. This is fair for everyone.

MessageWe also want to make sure secular organizations and corporations are given tax breaks for charitable donations...or is it already so?
