Message | Rt Hon Duke McCullum, Foreign Affairs Minister Madam Speaker, we have been advocating this Treaty for a while. This will show that the Monarchy will always hold a place in Hutorian politics. This Bill can also temporarily halt the advances of any Republican parties who wish to remove the Monarch. The Hutorian Monarch is one of great tradition and this time around he deserves to be safe in his position and not dethroned and then restored every so often. We hope this treaty can prevent situations like this arising again |

Message | Rt Hon Marquess Spence, Prime Minister, Madam Speaker, let the Labour Party know that the NSC will force the Labour Parties flag reform through Parliament in return for their vote on this Restoration Treaty. Given that a NSC/CLP Yes vote would fall short of the 2/3 majority by 1 seat means we need Labours support. Given they are the only 'Republican' Party who opposed the Monarchy, we hope they have a change of heart. I hope Labour can support this Act because the Hutorian Monarchy is a great part of the Hutorian nations heritage and the Monarch acts with political neutrality and represents the nation at international events. The fact that the Monarch is exempt from political bickering means that he represents the interests of a nation and not the interests of a party. Also as he represents Hutori at international events it allows our parties to concentrate on the issue of governance and domestic policy. Madam Speaker, i hope that the points i have outlined have convinced the Labour Party the benefits of the Monarchy. I really hope that the Labour Party can ratify this restoration treaty and confirm the position of the Monarchy and tie him into Hutorian politics through an international treaty. |
