| The official state religion and the only religion recognized by the State is the Church of Mordus headed by Pope, the grandmaster of the Prieuré de Mordus, Mervyk the Vogon. Membership in an unrecognized religion is atheism. Atheism is considered treason and shall be dealt with severely. However, for the purposes of transition, Mordusians are given one-hundred days to convert to the new religion. Irreligiosity within that period will not be considered treason. Irreligiosity after the period will be. When period of transition is over, those who have not converted will be tortured, killed, used as target practice for the Mordusian Armed Forces, or suffer any combination that could result from the three. These will be administered by the Mordusian Armed Forces. After their conversion, Mordusians are expected to swear allegiance to the Pope. Those who refuse shall be hang, drawn, and quartered, or otherwise publicly executed. All government buildings will be adorned with the corpses of these traitors and serve as a warning to all Mordusians. These shall again be administered by the Mordusian Armed Forces, but with the additional presence of the Prieuré de Mordus. |

| Message | This is beyond insane. There is no such thing as a "church of Mordus". This nation has always been multi-religious, with special emphasis placed on the Coptic Catholic Church of Mordusia. Your attempts at creating new institutions of absolute cultural authority without any historical significance simply point to the ignorance and conceit of the leadership of the ESS. The Royal Crown Authority hereby refuses to recognize a "church of Mordus". The RCA views this institution as a dangerous cult, created for the sole purpose of amassing absolute power over Mordusia and destroying Mordusia's traditions, culture, and social system. All special "laws" and mandates pertaining to the establishment of said cult will hereby be ignored by the RCA. All members of the RCA and anyone who wishes to vote for our party in all future elections must swear that they are not members of the "church of Mordus" and that is their sworn duty to help destroy this cult. The RCA shall, within a month, hold a conference of religious and non-religious civic leaders in order to set forth a mutual statement of protest. Finally, the RCA will lead the community in seeking foreign intervention in order to resist this lunacy. |
