Bill: Ceasefire
Details
Submitted by[?]: Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2950
Description[?]:
In order to emphasise our new approach and for reasons of national security, we purpose a ceasefire between the two Sekowan states. Our primary concern should be to bring the plans of the Luthorian Empire and it's puppet allies to ruination, and to secure ourselves from a incursion from Hulstria in the North, whose alliance with the Luthorians, their former colonial oppressors, makes a mockery of the Dovani Security Accord. This is not a time for fighting Sekowans, but a time for fighting the oppressors of Dovani! |

From | Saiken Renmei | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | We shall only support a ceasefire under strict conditions: Sekowo is to be reunited as one country, all areas without a Gao-Showa majority are to be given autonomy, all large companies and factories are to be run democratically by their workers, the people's communes set up by the NLF in the North are to be allowed to exist, and the new government is to recognize the National Liberation Army as legitimate.
Otherwise, our militias can hold against both the Gao-Showa Fascists and the foreign imperialists in the Northern mountains. |

From | Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | The National Liberation Front appears to misunderstand that a ceasefire does not entail one side unconditionally being annexed by the other. These conditions are mad, and so is the reasoning that underlines them. We implore the parties of the right and centre not to vote with the extremists of both sides and support the ceasefire and save our nation from disaster. |

From | Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | The National Liberation Front appears to not to understand that a ceasefire does not entail one side unconditionally being annexed by the other. Their conditions for ceasefire are that the other parties accept Communism or face armed struggle from the NLA at a time of national crisis. These conditions are mad, and so is the reasoning that underlines them. We implore the parties of the right and centre not to vote with the extremists of both sides and support the ceasefire and save our nation from disaster. |

From | Saiken Renmei | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | We cannot sign a ceasefire with a government we regard as illegitimate. This is why we shall only recognize a single democratic government over all of Sekowo. |

From | Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | Such politicking is immaterial, we must end this civil war and defeat external enemies before we decide on constitutional matters. |

From | Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | No one governing body is acceptable to our people at the current time, we must wait until sectional divisions have become less potent before we force a single government upon our divided nation. |

From | Gōzoku Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinawa | To | Debating the Ceasefire | Message | We are glad the People's Party has seen reason. It'll only take Shūfuku Undō and the Pluralists to secure the ceasefire now. |
