MessageOur vision of the Government is different - we see this as one of the only things that the Government should be doing. Our role is to ensure continuity of service should the private sector come under pressure.

MessageThe government should not be wasting public money on private companies that run into trouble. If they cannot compete within their sector of choice it should not be the governments responsibility to keep them afloat.
Vital infrastructure should already be under the control of the State so as to guarantee provision. To leave vital infrastructure to the private sector risks those services being priced to such a level as to make them unaffordable and leaves the State in the position of "picking up the bill" should the private sector fail.
