MessageName: Ullika Flug
Age: 52
Experience:
- Legal attaché to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 3 years
- Voluntary law practice and human rights defense, 15 years
-Private law practice, 15 years
- Regional Court Justice of Fuwan, 4 Years

Information: Mrs. Flug is a staunch defender of human rights. During her career she has always defended the underdog and parallel to her private practice she has also founded programs seeking to bring justice closer to the underprivileged. Her thorough knowledge took her to the regional court of Fuwan where she worked for 4 years. Once her tenure was over, she preferred to serve as attaché to the foreign affairs minister instead of renewing her tenure. She is a tough judge who believes in law before justice and her close mind has earned her praise among critics who see her as a consistent lawyer.

MessageMs. Flug, I ask you what your position is in regards to workers, such as collectively bargaining, union rights, a living wage, and other such protections for the working class. I also ask your position on international politics and how much freedom from regulation corporations should be granted.

MessageThank you Senator,
it is my belief that unfortunately many times workers are exploited by corrupt union leaders and whenever their rights and prerogatives are negotiated as part of a group, many of their individual liberties are violated. I support trade unions whenever they provide a means to stop abuse, yet I think government also has the responsibility of ensuring that group rights do not undermine individual rights. With regards to internationalism, I support economic integration which does not endanger Solentia; I understand Majatra might be facing tough times, but we cannot forget that Solentians come first and their well being is our priority. I believe in a free market, but I admit that sometimes the government must ensure minimal requirements are met and as long as legality is present, a give and take is our best option.

MessageOOC: Helen Brown is no longer Supreme President, so this should not be sent to a vote.

MessageOOC: I respectfully disagree.

Article 6). During a Supreme Presidency which will see a vacancy on the Court, the Supreme President may announce his nominations for questioning and confirmation by the Senate. Nominations MUST be announced at least a year prior to the end of a retiring Justice's term, so that questioning and confirmation may be completed before the term is complete. Confirmation shall be decided as defined in Section IV, Article 2, Subsection A of this Act. Each nominated Justice must be questioned and voted upon individually. In the event of an early election where nominees for Justice have been submitted by a Supreme President who is voted out of office, no new candidates may be nominated unless the originals are rejected by due process in the Senate.

The fact that nominations must be entered at least a year prior to the end of a retiring Justice's term declares Supreme President Brown's nominations valid, and the fact that new candidates may not be nominated until those before them are rejected means that these are the candidates that stand at the moment.

All of this is moot, however. These guys got the 50% + 1 before the early election was called, just because you all have had a change of heart now doesn't mean you didn't vote for them the first time through, and I seated Sarah Watkins once she had the votes last time, not once the bill was passed officially. It's not my fault all of you had to call stupid early elections!

MessageOOC: I digress with such rationale. Also, I never voted for early elections nor have I had a change of heart.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.

Random quote: “Tell these old, grey men that their time is over. Tell them to give us back our future, and then get lost!” - Benji Benandez, former Dranian politician
