MessageMadam Speaker, yet more control, more erosion of civil liberties and more oppression. Soon, the government will run out of areas of which they can deprive the people of their freeom.

MessageMadam Speaker, are the government quite sure that it goes far enough? Why not permanent curfews? I mean, the people soon won't be able to travel outside of the country. Why should they be able to leave their own homes?!

MessageBecause there's simply no need for permanent curfews. The government already controls its inferiors the way it wants it to be. Now we have to care about the security of the people. Should a war or civil unrest break out, we have to make sure that common people stay at home and do not interfere with the state while he's solving the problem.

MessageMadam Speaker, would the government really call the people it serves its inferiors?? Does the NSC agree with this remark?

MessageMadam Speaker, i think its more bad wording from the UFD than anything else. Yes the people are inferior in that they are governed by the state which can control their destines. The state is inferior because they can vote us out. It works both ways Madam Speaker, but i think its more bad terminology by the UFD

MessageOh and Madam Speaker, will the SPU still recieve CLP and Labour critism for their vote in this Bill? I doubt it.

MessageMadam Speaker, I would support this bill also of it was in normal circumstances. However, our current government, which sees itself as superior to the people it serves, would willingly declare a state of emergency over the death of Baal the slaughterer's cat.

MessageMadam Speaker, the statements by both the NSC and the UFD demonstrate a basic ideological difference. For we in the CLP believe that the people are superior and the state is the servant. We, Madam Speaker, are the people's representatives and serve the people. Individuals are what makes a state strong, not a bureaucracy.
