Message | Labor unions in this nation do not have the strength to fairly negotiate with their employers. Their memberships are completely voluntary, meaning that they have no position of power to negotiate from. This will also ensure that those who are not within the union also receive their fair wage, as otherwise they would not receive much of anything at all. Ultimately, this bill will accomplish what the unions themselves cannot. |

Message | Exactly it proves my point. Apparently employees do not find it important enough themselves to become for that reason a member of a union. |

Message | That's because unions have been unable to produce results that would be seen as "good" for those who would be apt to join. This is because if the union attempts to flex their power, the company is able to circumvent them, precisely because union membership is not mandatory. In other words, there will always be non-union workers to take the places of striking union members. Therefore, in order to provide for a just distribution of wealth, as our current system is inadequate in this manner, then a state-mandated (not company mandated) minimum wage is necessary. |
