Bill: Budget proposal of March 2959

Details

Submitted by[?]: Walruzyjska Partia Libertariańska

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2961

Description[?]:

The Valruzian Libertarian Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Valruzian Federation.

The government is wasting money on needless programs and a huge bureaucracy. The people are tired of having their hard earned money being blown by clueless politicians. Also some of the cuts are made because the states can handle their own programs, why waste money doing the same thing they are?

MessageI opose this bill. It will reduce the quality of life of persons, we can't reduce our expenses in sectors like Enviroment (less air quality, water quality, etc... LESS QUALITY OF LIFE), Agriculture (reduce of production, inflaction) Education and Culture (it is a way of provide equal oportunities, and a better way of life, and with that cut, it will increase the social diferences), Health (It is almost a crime reduce the quality of the our hospitals and our social programs...), and foreign affairs (it will increase our isolationism)...

So I strongly opose this proposal!!!!!

MessageSir, with all due respect, you know nothing of how an economy works. The free market can solve all those probles that you have stated. We do not need government funding to helping. The market can better distribute the funds to areas where they can do the most good. Also the quality of life will be affected, but in a good way. People can manage money better then the government. They know what they need and know where to get the best deal. We here in the People's Congress do not and can't do all that is neccessary to provide the best quality of life for our citizens. It is an endless game that we can't win.

MessageBut if the free market provides all that, tell me something, Why after the WWII the governments choose to Regulate the economy in order to give better ways of life to the people????
And why the capitalism Utopia that you suport so much create since in begin so many economical and Humanitarian CRISES???
And why the difference between people and countries continues to grow???

The Private sector don't have social responsability, and is Necessary that the government step foward in order to create a solution for the Problems that the Frre market creates!!!

I'm not an expert in economy, but I'm a studious of History and the History shows us that The State must regulate the economy in name of the people and in order to don't let milions of people vegetate in misery while others become richer and richer...
And there are many Experts in economy that suport my position, like Keynes... do you are more expert than they are??? There are several teories, there are not rigth or wrong ones, there are just opinions, and you must respect mines like I respect yours...
With all due respect of course my friend...

MessageKeynes was an idiot when it comes to economics. I come from the world of austrian economic school. Do you want to know why the US is the largest debtor nation? Its because of Keynes. He influenced Roosevelt to borrow money and increase the money supply which for the short term created the illusion of prosperity. Now look long-term people who originally couldn't afford houses could by magic then when the Free Market tried to right itself there were a large amount of foreclosure. Which in turn disrupted the economy and sent the world into a major recession. Sir look up John Smith and read The Wealth of Nations. The private sector may not primarily have socail responsability but they ill adjust when the people show them through what they buy and who they choose to buy from. To stay profitable a free enterprise must adjust to the people's whim or they go bankrupt. Of course you will always have the occassional bad company but its a small price to pay for the large amount of innovative and progress that can be made by the Free Market. America didnt become an economic giant because the government funded businesses and create the wealth. Look up your history Our modern day regulations didnt come to frutation until the early 20th century.

MessageThe interventionalism of the State in the economy begun much more early, in the 18th century the State already interview in the economy, with the protectionism and all that...
But our country isn't USA, it is possible to have an "walfare state" or a state that regulates and have a active action on the economy, without increasing the external debt...
Look for example the Nordic countries (In Europe)...

I must respect your ideas, despite thinking that the liberal economists are a bunch of idiots, that only think in economical growth, and don't think in the poors, or the 95% of the people that their ideas prejudice, only thinking in the chance that their ideas make few mens turn more richer and richer, while other ones die in the misery...

MessageWhen the poor need help they can go to a private charity, which can better address the problem. Big government can't solve societies problem. By letting people make their own choices they can create a situtation where they can succed.

MessageThe government cannot currently afford any of what it is supposed to provide, so cuts probably aren't right.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "We here thank those in Deltaria who put [Zardic spy Mona Rivet] to justice in the most humane way possible. With bullets." - Sergio Rodriguez, former Egelian journalist
