Description[?]:
We cannot, as moral people, allow our underprivileged to rot in the gutters. Article 1: The government guarantees a child benefit to families living below the poverty level for their size and profit level. This benefit shall cover the costs of necessities only. "Large" families shall not be eligible for child benefits unless they are living below the poverty level for their size and profit level. Article 2: People with permanent mental and/or physical disabilities shall be guaranteed a reasonable standard of living by the government. People with temporary physical disabilities are guaranteed a small benefit until they are able to return to work. All other people are considered capable of working or retired, and so shall either make money by their own volition or through pensions, and so are not eligible for the benefits described herein. Article 3: The government does not directly own, operate, or build any housing. Housing shall only be owned by private individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, and/or other legal entities, except the government. People who are living below the poverty level and/or are temporarily physically disabled (until they are able to return to work) who rent housing shall have part of their rent subsidized by the government. People with permanent mental and/or physical disabilities who rent housing shall have their rent fully subsidized by the government. Article 4: Public transport shall be fully subsidized for people who are living below the poverty level, are temporarily physically disabled (until they are able to return to work), and/or are permanently mentally and/or physically disabled. Public transport shall be fully "user-pays" for all others. |
