Message | Hmmhmm. Very interesting. How could such a thing ever be enforced? How can you watch for incompetence? Is someone going to live in the home of the youth to ensure that the parents are never "incompetent"? |

Message | Like CPNE I don't think this would be practical. Instead, children who are found to be in dangerously bad families should be taken into care and fostering. Social workers and school teachers are the front line of this detection system, which would need court permission to actually take children away permanently. Bad parenting is more to do with social deprivation anyway - being brought up by bad parents yourself / in a poor area / logn term unemployment - so we should concentrate on going after the cause. School education can include parenting skills too, and we can even ask editors of state tv and publications to try to promote family life in the same way as they currently do with sex. (Think of all the free advertising that gets!) |

Message | *laughs* I suppose I can agree, II. And I do agree - it WOULD be difficult to enforce. But, when I look around me and see so many kids ruined because of their apathetic and inept families...well... |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: As for rape, of course, that is a direct consequence of the capitalist system of oppression. Capitalism relies on fuelling division and resentment to sustain itself, and so it sets men against women, race against race and so on. Men rape women because they are being oppressed by capitalism, so they take it out on women. Under Communism, there will be no rape, because there will be a full and natural harmony and equality between the genders. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
