Message | Passing this law will be a step backwards for education in this country. Not all students are the same; different people have different areas of intelligence and different ways of learning. Standardised testing will stifle some students who are intelligent but not suited to that one particular style of learning. It has a place, but we are strongly opposed to the government dictating it should be the primary method of assessment. The current law encourages the students own creativity and recognises the different strengths that students have. We urge the Urban Party to reconsider their vote for this bill. If we pass this law, we will just be making things easier for the reptilians to gain influence. |
