Message | The SDLP believes that as a Federation each state is entitled to an equal amount of seats as to prevent the interests of smaller states being overshadowed by those of the larger states, it is on this basis that we support such a constitutional amendment. |

Message | We oppose on the grounds that the larger regions need more seats, because there are people and more issues which are needing to be represented and addressed. Coleen Power Deputy Tory Leader Shadow Justice Minister Political Reform, Equality and Religion Spokesperson |

Message | "The Centre Moderate Party is continuously dedicated to equal votes for all. The only way this can be achieved is to proportionately allocate seats throughout the regions. This is not about regional power as the SDLP would have us believe, this is about a man in the country having an equal vote weight to a man in the city. Lord Kennedy shall be, if this passes Senate, drafting a re-creation of the Proportional Vote via means of Centrist Initiative." Asbjørn Holm, CMP Senatorial Lead. |
