Message"As we cannot support more than four of the nine Articles in this Act, we must reluctantly oppose. A pity. We would have strongly supported Articles 1, 2, 7 and 8. However our vehement opposition to Articles 4, 5 and 6 swayed the balance in favour of opposition."

Lord Kennedy, Unionist Senatorial Lead.

MessageThe issue with these larger bills, is that they are hard for people to support as they have a wide ranging amount of policy. You would be better off putting them into categories. For example whilst one party may support gay rights, they may not support naitonalising industry or a minimum wage. Very different policies, need different acts as they have little to do with each other.

MessageWe digress with Articles 1 and 6 as we feel the law is already correct as is. However, we shall offer our support to the legislation and opt to propose a second bill overturning the aforementioned articles should the bill pass.
