Bill: New Culture?

Description[?]:

I want to create an African superpower. I need allies, because parties that implement large constitutional changes see huge losses the following election cycle.

I know Rildanor's been this way for 900 game years -- I was one of the players who made it this way, 900 years ago. And I know some players are wedded to building on the culture story they've contributed to, and there's some value there. But there's value to new developments too. 800 years ago, Rildanor may have been the only french, religious monarchy. But -- largely because of Rildanor players' efforts overtime -- Rildanor is not unique today. There're several countries that a small group of players, hopping from one country to another, having made to look very similar to Rildanor. By the game rules, and the moderators' rules, that's those players' rights. But I have three problems.

First, new players. I'm not precisely a new player -- I played in 2005 and gave it up after installing the monarchy, entrenching the church, opening relations with other countries. Playing again now, I feel new in some ways. Like some new players, I want to win elections, win overwhelming majorities in the legislature, and adjust the country so that it's a country I want to play. When veteran players, several who've been playing nearly non-stop for about 5 years, bogard not just one country, but two or more, and adjust all those countries to reflect one gameplay story, they make it very difficult for new players to enjoy that aspect of gameplay in their one, original country. Many veteran players use every method they can to discourage players from making gameplay changes, from ridicule to flooding countries with veteran players to stuff votes.

Second, the gameplay stories that exist are limited, especially in terms of ethnicity. The few African-equivalent ethnics I've read about are almost always poor, and late of servitude, or some other such silliness, as if there're no wealthy African communities in the real world, or as if poor Africans are unique. Lame. And while the gameplay stories don't have to reflect real life by any stretch, I do find myself wishing that there lots of African superpowers in game, for African players and for non-African players interested in playing parties in an African superpower, just like European players and non-European players have many choices to pick from for Euro-like countries. I'm working to make this ONE African superpower to go up against the wrath of Euro sameness in Rildanor and other countries.

Third, fair play. While it may be within the moderators' rules to hop from one country to another just to protect a gameplay story, it significantly limits new players' chances to develop gameplay in even one country, and it increases the likelihood those players will stop playing the game.

So I want to make an African superpower for the reasons above. I started this process with Valari two gameplay election cycles ago, but it resulted in a big loss the following election, like a said above.

To make a new gameplay story last, I need other players who'd like to explore the new gameplay. When I make the constitutional changes -- with the help of the communist party or the national alliance now, or later, with a 2/3ds CCP majority -- I will lose the following election, and keeping and playing the changes will depend at least one other party maintaining them.

I'm willing to negotiate all manner of reciprocal support for allies to get this change through, from supporting the communist party's plans, to maintaining some of this country's features, which the national alliance may favor according to their party description.

Any interest in a change here?
