Message | So if HM Armed Forces are on strike, providing a minimum home defence service, what happens to our foreign policy objectives and treaty obligations? |

Message | NO!! Absolutely NOT. Unless of course you mean the right for hereditary landowners to strike their serfs if they get uppity. |

Message | "what happens to our foreign policy objectives and treaty obligations?" That would be part of a minimal service and anything the military would strike about should be looked into immediately we don't want an ineffective army or an anti-government army, which if they are stopped from getting what they need is what would happen. |

Message | Strikers should be sacked, gaoled, shot or burned ... relative to the situation, of course. There is no such thing as a military "strike" unless you're talking about attacking the enemy. A withdrawal of services by military personnel is usually called "mutiny". Mutineers are, naturally, shot! |

Message | As are deserters. The same rules should apply to firefighters and medical personnel. |

Message | Quite right, my good sir! And policemen, customs officials, prison warders, teachers, workers in essential industries (like armaments and dock labour), bankers, news media, electricity maintenance and supply -- and ice-cream makers. Actually, the more I reflect on it ... is there ANYONE who should be ALLOWED to strike? I mean, in a society of equals, we can't only workers in essential industries to "self-sacrifice" without asking others to do likewise. No, no. The right to strike should be abolished. Forthwith. |
