Whereas it is the right of every citizen in the Republic to have a competent and balanced judicial system, we the Christian Socialist Party are offering a judicial reform package. ARTICLE 1, Malpractice Suit: Whereas it is the right of every citizen of the Republic to be properly compensated when harmed, people must be able to get be adequately imbursed but there must also a be cap on money awarded to one who sues over medical malpractice. The judge overseeing the lawsuit will also take into account factors such as traumatic, disability, medical, and legal expenses when determining the proper amount awarded in the suit. |

Message | Article 3 should, in our opinion, be modified to "There is a cap on monetary damages awarded to patients in lawsuits." This would allow for damages to be awarded, but also stop ridiculously high payouts for things that otherwise would either be ignored or given small payouts. Otherwise, you have our support. |
