I think that the 'King elect' system is a little... jank. If we wanted to do this why not make it a republic? I've said it a million times, but a viceroy system would be a better choice than this. If we wanted to do this, I think we should keep the common folk out of the mix. Maybe ask the other parties to support one of our own, and from that we decide who is king, and the person in second has the spot as Prime Minister. When the king dies or abdicates, the process repeats itself.
