Bill: Peter Khurvan Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Noordelijk Bevrijding Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2047

Description[?]:

A staunch liberal this act is named in honour of ex president Peter Khurvan. This country needs to put freedom back on the agenda and question wether restricting civil rights is lawful. Should the police be given the ultimate power they wield now? - We think not. Our nation must overturn legislation that threatens to turn the Republic into a police state.

Random fact: Particracy has been running since 2005. Dorvik was Particracy's first nation, the Dorvik Social Democrats the first party and the International Greens the first Party Organisation.

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn
