Message | Mr. Speaker, May I urge the Liberal Party (or Libertarian Party if they accept the change) to consider what the proposal is before they vote. What is being proposed is for state intervention in the economy, and should the government ever approve the firing of workers what is going to happen? There will be mass protest. The government should not intervene in the economy, nevermind have the permission to say whether workers should be fired or not. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, This policy is being put in place to protect jobs and to prevent employers from firing their work force without good cause. The Liberal Party will ensure that the firing of workers will be kept to an absolute minimum. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We are quite simply appalled that the Liberal Party has sold their basic values of a liberal party. I yield. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
