MessageMr. Speaker,

How can it be that the Democratic Party clearly supports they follow Patriotism and yet they propose this?

I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We are on the fence with this issue. While the LP does not wish to compel any person of any age to something that they would not like to do, a majority of LP members do respect and have understanding for singing the national anthem.

Therefore, would both parties agree to a future proposal which instead states: "Children are not made to sing the national anthem, but are required to show respect when it is played at the commencement of school each day."

MessageMr. Speaker,

No, we would not accept any other alternative.

Once more, this is yet another example of new parties having a complete lack of respect for our nation's past.

I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

If the restriction of freedom has been the legacy of this nation's past, then I wish to create a future in which liberty thrives.

I yield.
