Message | I can see where the People's Party - Civic Democratic Union is coming from with all articles but the first. What is wrong with military forces assisting a police department in serious emergencies? If a situation arose where it was impossible for civilian law enforcement to appropriately respond in optimal time, would it not be acceptable for the military to lend a hand? The nature of the emergency situation implies that this is something that happens infrequently. How can the Civic Democrats predict all law enforcement crises that will ever occur? Something entirely new and uncalled for could always arise, and it is foolish to deny the proper authorities the ability to respond to these unexpected events. Does the separation of the civilian police and the military need to be held so sacred as to hamper the abilities of both? In the event of a serious insurrection in one of the satrapies, one that local police are powerless to quell, who else but the military shall keep the order? |

Message | The military is neither equipped nor has it been trained to deal with police work, and neither is the police for military purposes. They both have their separate work to do, and should be able to do so unhampered by the limitations of the other force. Dealing with insurrections is hardly police work anyway, unless the FRFSP regards any kind of protest as an insurrection. |
