MessageMr. Speaker,

Is there any way that we could come to compromise on some of the other articles or have an ACTUAL debate? The PANU seems to enjoy forgoing democracy by ramming through their bills, however the NFP was elected to represent REAL democracy.

Here are our reasonings behind some of these articles:

It is a most unfair entitlement that pharmaceutical companies receive subsidies. We are paying for them to do the work they should be doing in the first place, and then buying them for the public? It is a most ridiculous idea.

The only one\'s who benefit from this are the pharma companies, not the people and it would be a shame if the Majority would allow such things.\r\n\r\nAs for the article in regard to a national police force, we currently have a military and local police forces, what is their necessity?

The NFP wishes to see more education opportunities and with regard to article 7, we would encourage subsidizing tuition for lower income students being that we have a national system.

With Article 4, I would ask for the Liberal party\'s help in ensuring the survival of endangered species. We would be willing to compromise on allowing zoos to handle such matters, but restrict public ownership.

We are surprised that the PANU would be against Article 10, seeing as they just created the initiative of banning the death penalty. It is perhaps political, and unfortunate in this instance. We plea with the Liberal party in helping us overturn this great injustice in our nation.

Though we would like to reform the current policy of highway construction, we would be willing to part with such a measure.

I yield.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Liberal Party support articles 2, 7, 8 and 10; but we cannot support article 9 or article 3. We feel that article 3 is cutting back on public health, not moving it forward.

As for article 1, we would vote yes if crossdressing was legalised outright. Regarding article 4, we ask that the NFP amend the article so only zoological institutions can keep endangered species.

I yield

MessageI have removed the articles involving endangered animals as the PANU has oddly submitted the same idea, and removed the article with regard to pharmaceutical changes.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It is a shame that we could not reach a consensus upon these initiatives, and unfortunately my colleagues would rather score political points than attempt to create real reform in the Republics.

I sincerely hope that at least this one time the Liberal party will help us in doing the right thing. It seems that all the PANU is interested in is a "coalition of convenience" rather than the true reforms and attempts at democracy the NFP and LP have attempted in creating.

I yield.
