Message | We are surprised that the CPU, a conservative party, is against this bill. Did 'God' not create everything including crops? |

Message | The Book of Leviticus doesn't ban farmers from using fertilisers, GM techniques, etc.! And Saint Peter was a private enterprise fisherman; we don't think he would have taken kindly to seeing his business nationalised by the state! |

Message | Regardless, as a christian party it is outrageous that you're denying farmers subsidies. |

Message | Where does Christianity say "Government shalt give subsidies to farmers"? We certainly believe government has a responsibility to do the best it can to make sure everybody has enough food to eat, somewhere to live and a decent standard of living, but you don't have to nationalise the agricultural industry in order to achieve that. |

Message | Charity is a christian value, but you actively seek to deny subsidies to farmers. |

Message | In addition we are not proposing to fully nationalise agricultural production, you have misinterpreted this bill. We are proposing to nationalise the fishing industry but not farming. |

Message | Why should farmers be subsidised by the tax payer when other areas of industry aren't? We see no overwhelming case for subsidising agriculture. And what's wrong with pesticides and GM food? We think using these is safer and more effective than not using them. |

Message | We are propsing in the 'Green Socialist Economy Bill' that all major/commanding heights (of) industry becomes state-owned, so really, your first statement isn't valid. GM food is not natural, it isn't as healthy, it isn't as good for the environment.. the list goes on. |
