Message | Mr. Speaker, Although the CPU will vote against this bill in a bid to cling onto power, we put this before the People's Assembly due to the collapse of a party: 1. The collapse of the party has left a large number of vacant seats 2. as a consequence, millions of people are not represented in the People's Assembly 3. We are a fully democratic party |

Message | Mr Speaker, The CPU is also a fully democratic party, but we do not think an early election would be justified at the moment. Important legislative business is going through the People's Assembly at the moment, and we don't wish to disrupt that with an early dissolution. Also, a new party has only just joined us, and we feel it would be fair to allow them a little while to establish themselves so they have a chance of winning seats at the upcoming election. We feel the GSP has a nerve accusing us of trying to "cling on to power", given we were the ones who offered them a share in government and they were the ones who rejected it! The CPU will continue to fulfil its responsibilities as the governing party until the popular will determines otherwise. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, As we said, the CPU wish to cling on to power. The CPU are fully aware that the legislation in the People's Assembly would be able to be put to vote after an election anyway. In addition, the CPU are also fully aware that the newly formed party would gladly prop-up their own party in government, that is why you want them to establish themselves.. for your own party's gain. It is apalling that the CPU wish to continue the People's Assembly without it being fully filled.. what is democratic or fair about that? And, may I ask, what does your party say to the millions of people that are not currently being represented due to the CPU? |

Message | Mr. Speaker, In addition, the CPU really do have a moral obligation to call elections. Not only is it in the interest of the people, but there is no reason why the CPU shouldn't call an early election. There is no national emergency preventing elections from taking place. The People's Assembly is not full and has vacant seats; thus not every person/state is represented fully The People's Assembly is at a stalemate; government has no majority government and opposition seats are completely balanced preventing laws from being made. |

Message | OOC: We now vote against due to the CPU preventing it from passing.. It is too late, and too close to elections, for early elections to be called. |
Date | 12:58:11, November 18, 2010 CET | From | Lormish National Congress | To | Debating the Call for early elections, October 3031 |
Message | Mr Speaker, The LNC is surprised that the GSP is so sure our fledgling party would support the CPU and has decided to vote against it's own call for early elections. |
Date | 18:21:26, November 18, 2010 CET | From | Dorvikische Volkspartei | To | Debating the Call for early elections, October 3031 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, The LNC's voting record is clear that they will seek to prop up the CPU in the future. We have voted against the early election motion to show how the CPU's stubborness has damaged Dorvik. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We are also puzzled by the GSP's puzzling decision to vote against its own early election motion. We would also like to point out that our party has not made any hypothetical future coalition arrangements with the LNC or any of the other parties. Let's see the election result the public give us, then work from there! |
