MessageIn the words of UC on Prayer in religious schools: "We would rather religious practices of this scale be limited to religious schools. Otherwise, students who follow a different religion or none at all may become uncomfortable if exposed to the prayers."

But not all children in religious schools are religious. They must not be exposed to prayer.

MessageReligious schools are designed especially for the beliefs of religious students. We understand that many children attend such facilities because their religious parents wish them to, and agree that this is unfair to those children. Unfortunately this is unavoidable without taking extreme and unfair actions against religion as a whole. As such, we continue to support prayer in religious schools.

MessageWe believe that children are learning, whether they are praying or not. They will learn and decide when they grow up. Parents who wish to give their kids a religious education should be reliant on the wishes of extreme anti religious parties to control our kids. We oppose this measure.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
