MessageThis proposal is aimed at reducing confusion when the proposal docket has bills like "herp derp" and "would you like some herp with your derp?"....

MessageThere will be no policing, no enforcement of any kind. This will simply be a statement that the majority of the Ikradonian Parties prefer cogent titles to their bills.

MessageAlso, I will now follow DT's example and stop calling my bills by names that have any bearing on whats in them. Like I said, you have to read the bills anyway so this is pretty stupid.

MessageIt's not about "not wanting to read what's in the bills".

See RMS' comment in one of DT's bills. He searches through old bills, and it becomes difficult to find a pertinent proposal in a bill when the bill title means nothing....

It's just common decency and decorum in legislation.

Another effect of this bill is that it determines who, in the congress, is too immature to take the legislative process seriously.

MessageAn example of this recently, I was looking up laws of the country DT said his clone had been raised, to see if their stance on cloning was the same 19 years ago. I could do this easilly because bills were clearly labelled. So it helps everyone if you can see it.

It also helps to keep score, which is something I try to do in this game. If an issue becomes contentious over a long period of time, it may be nice to see which side is doing best on it. For instance, it may be interesting to know how long religion has been banned this century versus how long it's been legal. Little things like that can be interesting.
