Bill: Respect of Democracy Resolution

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aldegar National Monarchic Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3046

Description[?]:

Dear President,
Dear Parties' Leaders and all members of the People's Assembly,

After a long debate in this Assembly occured in the last days that involved our Party falsely accused by the parliamentary minority to be authoritarian and extremistic, to banish all doubts we have decided to propose a resolution in defense of the democracy in our country.

In our Constitution is written:

" The Second Republic of Aldegar is a Sovereign and Democratic Nation and the Sovereign Power belongs to the people of the Second Republic of Aldegar."

And again:
"The Second Republic of Aldegar shall be structured as a parliamentary democracy with a unicameral legislature and an elected Head of State.".

So, we, as party and moreover as member of the government coalition, are intended to actively do everything is possible supporting and defending the democracy in Aldegar.
With this resolution we ask all of you to officially express your vote in favour of our foundamental chart, defending and protecting it by whatsoever authoritarian drift.

We hope all parties vote for this resolution and guarantee their respect for the foundamental right to live in a democratic country.

Thank you and long live to Aldegar!

MessageThe Constitution merely states the rules of this online game and declares the naming mechanisms for legislature and heads of state specific for each nation. An in-game government, no matter how authoritarian, must follow these rules. Every nation has a unicameral legislature, and every nation has popular sovereignty. The online game would suck if parties in power could rig elections.

This bill is worthless. Sure, liking democracy is one thing, but a bill that says "the rules of this online game are cool!" is just rather pathetic.

MessageMaybe I'm writing lots of stupid things but I think this online game is a role game like and as a role game we should play it.
All what you said is right, and obviously I know all of it, me too. I know this bill is worthless too. However let me say that I believe if we only propose bills, vote them and wait for the election, the game would be so boring and after 2 or 3 elections many of us will put an end to the game experience.
On the other hand, if we add to the game somewhat..."special" we could make it some more interesting. I don't sure I've been understood, but I'll try to explain myself in a better way.
At the moment we are 5 players: each of us had created an own party. As you could see each party has a specific identity: for example mine is a moderate center right party, PP tends to be a true and strong liberal party, AA's and yours tend to be much more extremist party.
So, why not create a fictional story around this with parliamentary clash? Why not simulate a "real" political world behind this game, with all limits of the rigid structure of this game?
