Message | Mr. Speaker, These changes will not do much for the nation itself, we agree, but we are striving for a new image of the nation, hence our proposals of the new anthem which has passed, the new flag debate, and now this. It is enough that are nations name is communist, we don't need to have a communist legislative assembly! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The People's Republic of Dorvik is not a communistic name, it is a name which was decided on by the people and we voted on it in the national legislature. It is ignorant to think that a name is "communist" because of previous misuses. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, "People's Republic" is a title that has often been used by Marxist-Leninist governments to describe their state. The motivation for using this term lies in the claim that Marxist-Leninists govern in accordance with the interests of the vast majority of the people, and, as such, a Marxist-Leninist republic is a people's republic. While, Marxism–Leninism is a communist ideological stream that emerged as the mainstream tendency among the Communist parties in the 1920s as it was adopted as the ideological foundation of the Communist International during the era of Joseph Stalin. Therefore it is ignorant to say it is not communist, especially given the proof that previous communist parties have used it as so. While you should know that people choose the national legislature, but not always agree to what it does! Anyhow, I would expect a communist party to know more about itself. |
