Bill: Charter schools
Details
Submitted by[?]: Education Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3052
Description[?]:
Because of their small size and limited numbers, charter schools can only provide public school options only to a limited number of families. Because of this, fairness and equality in the acceptance of students for enrollment might become biased to the more favored families of the community (Jan McComb. March 2002). Charter schools are too limited in scope in order to adequately provide pressure to the entire public school system for reform. Studies have shown that charter schools are still not yet being held accountable for student learning and that the three principles that guide the charter school system is still not being implemented properly (Amy Stuart Wells 1998). |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | Mr. Speaker, Charter Schools are a civil liberty. Not every public school can accept every child in a community either. Therefore, we stand for freedom. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, You must however realize that charter schools give a source of education to an upper class, which shouldn't we strive for equality amongst the people? Equality amongst the people is key to national unity. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
