| Message | I know why the CS objected to this treaty last time. But I wish to change their mind - this treaty is aimed at making extensions of abortion law harder. In the past, we have had our law tampered with when other parties have the majority or a member is absent and abstains accidentally. With this treaty, changes would be very difficult indeed, and therefore the rights of the unborn better protected. I cannot see that allowing the unborn to die along with the mother is itself a "right of the unborn"! |
