Voting deadline: November 3068
Description[?]:
The Gerajan Welfare Party, after decades of relative dormancy, is now issuing the following manifesto to reinforce and strengthen its position, as well as to declare their future aims and targets; in order to both reinstate the confidence in its followers and members, as well as to clear the political standing for its potential allies or opponents. The key principles of the GWP policy, as can be deduced from its name, are: - the Gerajan State - the Welfare State A Gerajan State: We celebrate the old Malivian religion of Geraja, as both the path to spritiual enlightenment as well as the tradition that unifies and defines our country and our people. We want to reinforce the ancient Gerajan traditions, erect a system of religious laws and reintroduce the old hierarchy. A hierarchy with the Raja on the top, ideally as both a spiritual and a wordly leader. This will make it necessary to reintroduce the old monarchy with the Hunters as the royal family, as well as legislature that ensures that the monarch is always bound by the rules and traditions of Geraja - in acceptable forms of course. A Welfare State: We feel that it is necessary that our nation is not ruled by the cold forces of competition, but that our people should hold each other dear enough to help those who cannot help themselves. We are convinced that the state has a responsibility that goes further than just to enforce law and order. We maintain that the state should be the main benefactor of its peoples, and should step in wherever possible to ease their lives. Of course, both principles go hand in hand: welfare is a major part in the religion of Geraja, and welfare gives the people more time for themselves in order to further their spiritual advancements. |
