Message | As the July Cabinet Proposal has failed to convince the Unionists to join the government, we hereby announce that they shall be replaced by our friends in the Independent Party. We hope this coalition garners sufficient support to pass promptly. President Ryan Fay |
Date | 01:45:17, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Federal Independent Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | While we appreciate President Fay's attempt to incorporate us within his cabinet, we, similar to the Unionists, must decline the offer to serve in this administration. We wish the new administration best of luck in this uncertain time of Solentian politics. FIP Minority Leader Jay Thesmond |
Date | 01:50:37, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Conservative Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | "Mr. Premier, The CPS wishes to express its dismay at the unwillingness of the previously-sensible parties of the Senate to cooperate in order to form a working government with the President. The CPS will accordingly support President Fay in a cabinet which includes the FHE along with the SDPS and CPS, if it should be pursuant to his and their interests. I yield." Sheila Harrison, Minister of Internal Affairs, CPS Chairman |

Message | Good luck working with the FHE. The uphill battle the administration faces courting the FHE, a party devoid of much rationality, should prove amusing. Let's see how this tests President Fay's mettle. FIP Minority Leader Jay Thesmond |
Date | 02:04:02, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Conservative Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | "Mr. Premier, President Fay's mettle needn't be tested if it weren't for vague, unfounded obstructionism. We are alarmed at this change of tactics on behalf of the FIP. We plead to the FHE, if President Fay extends a cabinet in which you are included, please consider it seriously, without regard for previous disagreements. I yield." Sheila Harrison |
Date | 03:23:05, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | I agree. It is well within the rational expectations of a President to hope to appoint a cabinet. I extended what I believe to be a fair offer, and I had hoped the partners would accept. I graciously ask that all parties please come forward and propose coalitions. I will be fair in these dealings. In service to Solentia, President Ryan Fay |
Date | 10:14:47, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Democratic Catholic Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | We believe that it is not very serious groped in any way to patch up the lack of votes with nonsense alliances. The FHE is not interested in filling the empty seats. You are not capable of forming a government? Very good. There is already another coalition ready to govern: FHE + Unionist + Independent + URP. At the time, President Sfini did form a government to FIP because we could not gather a majority. The FHE supported the coalition, even if the party was not represented. Now, probably, it is your turn. Velio Maggiorelli - for the FHE |
Date | 13:04:34, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | "The Unionist Party is presently undergoing a period of reflection. We find it improper to serve in national government whilst our Party Chancellor is in the custody of the administration. This is not random obstructionalism, but decorum in the name of state neutrality in the case of Mr. Seymour." Aidan Lindisfarne, Vice-Chancellor (SL) |
Date | 14:58:38, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | No talks with any party were ruled out, but after our talks, we truly confirmed the FIP is correct...the FHE is a party without much rationality. Nevertheless, we will continue to try and form a government, if the more "rational" parties will come to the table. This has never been about providing any sort of ideologically pure coalition, but simply a coalition that will succeed. President Ryan Fay |
Date | 16:06:32, February 10, 2011 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of October 3073 |
Message | This turn of events is particularly troubling coming from the FIP. As we joined their cabinet, supported many of their bills that were not always politically popular, and yielded to their judgment on matters of tradition and government titling, we had come to expect better from them. President Ryan Fay |
