The very nature of stock exchanges is one that requires regulation to even function.

Is the FHE blind to the fact that without regulation, stock speculation and insider trading would completely destroy the stock markets from the inside out?

Without regulation, insider trading would allow powerful investors with the right connections to dominate the stock exchanges. Speculators could drive prices artificially high or low, which will inevitably lead to a stock bust and economic ruin.

We beseech the FHE to use common sense, and stop trying to deregulate an industry which would cease to exist without regulation.

Without regulations, stock exchanges will be vulnerable and collapse upon themselves.

Stock exchanges are important, and we believe strongly in them as a means for people to invest their capital and make a profit. But without regulation, they cannot function fairly and properly and are doomed to fail.

There are only two options: 1) Stock exchanges with regulation, or 2) No stock exchanges at all.

Vote no on this catastrophic bill, and I yield back.
