Bill: Renewable Energy Subsidy Freedom Act.
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal-Progressive Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2142
Description[?]:
As most power is provided by nuclear power per order of government, the subsidies for research that currently enter the renewable energy "vaccum" are a waste of tax money. Since nuclear power is the main source, then why is the government funding research for power that will never be used? It will never be used in the few cars driving our streets, or to power any buildings or homes due to the government mandated nuclear power source. Let's end this waste of money into research that will never be used. |

Message | The aim of subsidising renewables is so we can reduce, and maybe even remove, nuclear power stations. Whilst more environmentally friendly than fossil fuels, nuclear waste is extremely dangerous. Uranium is a limited resource and we must move to truely renewables or face problems when our local stocks, if any, run out or if our trading partners refuse to trade us any more. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
