Bill: Religious Tax

Details

Submitted by[?]: Medusoid Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2143

Description[?]:

Whilst normally i'd be for taxing them up to their necks, it does not make sense that 'recognised' (meaning large in pratice) are taxed whilst 'unrecognised' (small) religions are, surely it would be more sensible to tax neither

MessageWe feel the same way regarding recognised and unrecognised. However, we feel a balance must be reached - religion should be treated as companies or charities. If religions are not to be taxed, they should be banned from advertising themselves or the other way around.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "Zardugal. . . very successfully almost managed to implement democracy on a global scale, a millennia ago. With a seat in the Security Council we can do it again." - Phoebe Ĥoniato, former Zardic politician
